Eric Turner, DMD

Digital Cosmetic Dentist, Owner

Eric Turner is the sole owner and dentist at Dentistry On Monroe. He was raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, attended University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate studies (Biology, Neuroscience), then returned to Philadelphia to earn his dental degree at the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. His skill and dedication were recognized by his professors in his senior year when he was inducted into the dental honors fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). After graduating, Dr. Turner attended a residency program where he learned more advanced techniques to increase the quality of his work and maximize patient comfort.

He entered private practice in Bryn Mawr, PA with his mentor and grew there for 4 years. During this time, he pursued high-level advanced training in dental implants, Invisalign, and exciting new techniques in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. In deciding to open his own practice, Dr. Turner finally listened to his wife Melissa (originally from Florida) and agreed to move south. They visited Charlotte in the summer of 2017 and instantly fell in love with the area. They decided to build their future in this incredible city.

While building Dentistry On Monroe, Dr. Turner trained in the exciting new field of Digital Dentistry. For the past 3 years he has continued to master some of the latest dental technology, including Digital Smile Design, digitally- guided implant surgery, and 3D Printing. With these tools Dr Turner offers his patients the chance at having customized smile improvements with the highest level of efficiency and predictability.

In his free time, Dr. Turner enjoys traveling, scuba diving, skiing, running, and playing guitar when not in the dental office in Oakhurst, Charlotte, NC. He is also a skilled chef and baker and is always looking to experiment with new recipes.

Dr. Andrey Niznik

Dentist

Dr. Niznik is a compassionate general dentist dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care for patients of all ages. He earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida, followed by a Master’s degree in Medical Science from Barry University in Miami. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With a passion for both functional and aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Niznik enjoys helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through comprehensive dental care. He provides a wide range of treatments, including cosmetic smile makeovers, veneers, conservative dentistry, crowns, extractions, and dental implants. As a certified Solea laser dentist, Dr. Niznik offers advanced laser dentistry that allows many patients to receive conservative fillings and gum procedures without the need for needles, anesthesia, or traditional dental drilling creating a more comfortable and relaxed dental experience. For patients who experience dental anxiety, he also offers conscious oral sedation to help make visits as stress-free as possible.

Dr. Niznik is committed to lifelong learning and staying at the forefront of modern dentistry. He is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry and actively participates in dental study groups and continuing education courses to provide his patients with the latest techniques and advancements in care.

Beyond the office, Dr. Niznik believes in giving back to the community and has volunteered his time and dental skills to provide care for children and underserved communities in Jamaica. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys traveling, hiking, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with his family

Maritza Huerta

Office Manager, Treatment Coordinator

Ritz is our fiercely talented administrative leader. Originally from Norwood, North Carolina, she pursued her passion for education at Stanley Community College, earning an associates degree in science in 2018. Taking her education further, she attended Premier Dental Academy and earned her dental assistant certification. She loves staying active, whether it’s by working out regularly at the gym, or hiking up the mountains of North Carolina and connecting with nature. When she needs to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation time, she indulges in many binge-worthy TV shows. Her love for animals has led her to reside on a small farm where she enjoys the company of various types of birds. Surprisingly, despite her role in the dental field, she has a pronounced sweet tooth and an undeniable weakness for all things sugar. She has a sincere desire to help others feel as confident and beautiful as she does with her own smile!

Taylor Mathis, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Taylor is our vibrant Registered Dental Hygienist. She is originally from Wisconsin and moved to North Carolina in 2011 with her family. She is a proud alumna of Appalachian State University (Roll ‘Neers!!). After receiving her bachelors, she attended CPCC to obtain her license in Dental Hygiene, graduating in 2022. She is now fulfilling her dreams on the Dentistry On Monroe team! She recently married her college sweetheart Calen in April of 2023. They reside in the town of Belmont. Much of their free time consists of enjoying the lake, going to the Whitewater Center, and playing with their German Shepherd, Nala (it really is her world, they are just living in it). Taylor loves to play golf, read, and enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking.

Lindsey Johnson

Clinical Assistant

Lindsey Johnson is a wonderful clinical assistant with a passion and commitment to helping people feel more confident through their smile enhancement journey. Lindsey initiated her career at NC Dental U, finishing her training in 2022 and immediately joining the team at Dentistry On Monroe. Raised in Gastonia, she’s preparing to move to Bessemer City where she and her high school sweetheart have recently built their dream home. Beyond her fulfilling career, Lindsey finds joy in singing, indulging in TV shows/movies, and the moments spent with her husband, friends, and two beloved dogs. When it’s time for a getaway, her heart belongs to the vibrant shores of Miami, Florida where she vacations as often as she can.

Juan Rivera

Patient Care Coordinator

Juan is our highly dedicated administrative leader. Originally from El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles, he pursued his passion for leadership by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing his MBA. He brings over 10 years of diverse management experience across the healthcare, fashion, and retail industries, and is both a certified Project Management Professional and a certified Medical Interpreter. Juan has a sincere desire to bridge gaps in care and build durable, trust based relationships that make healthcare truly accessible to everyone in our community. Now proud to call Charlotte, North Carolina home, he loves staying active, collaborating on creative songwriting sessions, and exploring modern design in his free time. He is incredibly excited to bring his warm energy, leadership, and wealth of experience to the Dentistry on Monroe team!
